No matter what else appears corrupt, the date is always some unrealistic date. (Note: the most consistent display error is an erroneous date. If the reports on R8 are positive, then we will upgrade to 2009. Our plan is to continue to use QuickBooks 2007 in Snow Leopard until Intuit releases R8 for QuickBooks 2009. However, it is a hassle to quit and restart QuickBooks every time the register data appears corrupted. So QuickBooks 2007 seems to be usable in Snow Leopard. However, if we quit Quickbooks and then reopen the company file by double clicking on it, the displayed Checking Account Register corruption disappeared.īased on this, it appears the data entered into the Checking Account Register is being captured correctly, but QuickBooks has a problem displaying the register information. Yet when we reopened the company file, the register display continued to show the errors. But each time we Rebuilt the file and checked the QuickBooks log in Console, no errors we found.

Overflow, bad dates and large amounts show up in the Checking Account Register. We spent time this morning entering data and generating reports. Don't know if I have the courage (or $) to stay with Intuit.

It will be curious to find out if the patch works on all the corrupted QB files that have crashed under SL. Two weeks tomorrow, and nothing from Intuit, other than to have any chance to run under SL, upgrade to 2009. Too many MYOB reviews that were mediocre, and little else to choose from. I think I'd rather put the $ where someone cares. Price of 'Express' is comparable to the cost of upgrading from 2007 to 2009 (Intuit apparently, will NOT offer a patch for 2007 users, so we're forced to spend money regardless). Their response to email inquiries has also been prompt, appropriate and helpful. My investigation turned up MoneyWorks Express, which has a number of favorable elements (like a free version for your accountant, and a company file that will open from either the MAC or Windows version of their program - particularly helpful if your accountant only works with Windows).

Based on this and the forum on Intuit, things don't look all that promising - particularly if you are using (as I am) QB 2007 for MAC (luckily, I did my research and did not install SL).
